Super Bowl Brownies

This recipe is SO easy and such a crowd pleaser that you’ll never want to buy boxed brownie mix again!  The tops are slightly crispy and the inside is gooey and yummy!

For crispier edges bake these in your Granola Bar Pan (makes 24 bars) or for softer, gooey brownies bake in a 9x13 pan.

Here’s the goodness!

½ cup softened butter

⅓ cup cocoa

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

1 ½ cups flour

½ tsp. salt

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350.  Since there are chocolate chips in the batter you may want to use non-stick spray in the GBP but it’s not absolutely needed.  For 9x13 pan spray with non-stick spray.

Cream first three ingredients.  Add eggs one at a time beating well. Stir in vanilla.  In small bowl combine flour and salt then slowly add it to the wet ingredients.  Add nuts if desired.  Stir in chocolate chips.

Pour batter into GBP, filling each cavity evenly.  A mini ice cream scooper works great - two scoops per bar.  For 9x13 pan pour batter in and even out.

Place in oven for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.  Cool completely before cutting or releasing from GBP. Use a butter knife to release edges of brownies from the GBP if needed.

Enjoy!!!
